Authenticity of ratings

Any actual experience related to the purchase or use of a service of a participating company can be rated with up to 5 stars. The ratings relate to experiences that took place no longer than 6 months ago at the time the rating was submitted. An overall rating is then calculated from the simple average of the rating scores of all verified ratings from the last 12 months. In comments, customers share their experiences in their own words.

Portini does not offer any advantages, special conditions, discounts or other incentives for submitting a positive rating or withdrawing a negative rating.

Measures for the verification of ratings

Portini has taken various measures in its rating system to ensure that the published ratings only come from consumers who have actually used or purchased the goods or services (hereinafter “verified ratings”).

How does Portini ensure that the reviews are genuine?

Technical measures:

Portini uses various technical measures to ensure that e-mail invitations to submit reviews are only sent to those e-mail addresses that were used to make a purchase or purchase a service.

Online shoppers who use the Portini services, including buyer protection, receive a rating invitation from Portini after completing their order. Via the link in the e-mail, a rating can be given about the purchase actually made.

In addition, users of Portini services have the opportunity to rate their orders by calling up their purchase in Consumer World (Portini login area). Here, too, it is technically ensured that only the purchase transactions stored in the Consumer World can be rated.

Online shops can also ask their customers to submit a rating via the Portini system. Within the framework of the automated invitation dispatch, the customer’s email address is transferred to Portini via API or by means of the so-called Review Collector for sending an invitation email. This technically ensures that an invitation to submit a review is only sent to the email addresses that were used to make the purchase.

At the same time, further reference data on the order is collected in all cases in order to ensure a secure allocation of the Portini services as a whole and also the ratings in detail to an actual purchase.

Manual measures:

Further manual measures are also used to check that only those customers who have also purchased the product or used the service submit ratings.

To ensure that the authenticity of the rating and its legitimacy can be verified, the ratings cannot be submitted anonymously. The e-mail address through which the purchase was made always serves as a verifiable reference for the rating submission.

In the event of anomalies or indications that suggest that the rating is not based on experience, despite the above-mentioned technical measures, proof of the legitimacy of the rating submitted will be requested and checked accordingly. If the requested evidence cannot prove the purchase of the goods or the use of the services, the ratings will be deleted.
